Fig & Basil Bites

Market Ingredients: 

  • 1 pint black mission figs, quartered - @lightsey farms

  • 2 cups caciotta cheese, cubed - @Lira_Rossa

  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, whole - @bouldinfoodforest

Drizzle Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp balsamic glaze

  • 2 tbsp honey - @roundrockhoney

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Directions:

  1. Cut the figs and cheese into similarly sized, bite-sized pieces.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze, honey, and olive oil until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more glaze or oil if needed.

  3. On each toothpick or small skewer, thread a cube of cheese, fold and add a basil leaf, then finish with a fig piece.

  4. Repeat to fill the skewer.

  5. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter.

  6. Drizzle with the balsamic-honey mixture just before serving.

  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!
